 Limits of confidentiality: Psychologists are considered mandated reporters by the State of New York. Therefore, if the following information is reported to the provider she must disclose it to the appropriate public servants (emergency services, child or adult protective services).

• Imminent risk of suicide

• Imminent risk of homicide

• Child abuse

• Abuse of an elderly or other vulnerable dependent adult
